The Australian Winter Paralympic Team will take to the world stage at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games - showcasing their courage, excellence and national pride with the highly competitive Paralympic Winter Sports arena.
Australia first completed at the Winter Paralympic Games in 1980 in Geilo, Norway with two athletes. It wasn't until 1992 in Albertville, France that Australia won its first Paralympic Winter Medal - a Bronze by Michael Milton in Alpine Skiing. Milton went onto become a Paralympic legend winning sis gold, three silver and two bronze medals across four Paralympic Games.
Athletes like Bart Bunting, Jess Gallagher and Simon Patmore have continued Australia's proud tradition.
Bart Bunting winning multiple Golds in visually impaired Alpine Skiing.
Jess Gallagher became Australia's first Female Winter Paralympic Medallist in 2010, and Simon Patamore became the first Australian man to win medals at both the Summery and Winter Paralympics.
