The U.S. was brought into WWII on Dec. 7th, 1941 when the Japanese Empire took aim at Pearl Harbor. The U.S. naval base was struck unaware that infamous morning. 188 U.S. planes were destroyed, and over two-thousand lives were lost, with over one thousand injured. Eight naval battleships took damage, with four sunk, including the USS Arizona. "The date which will live in infamy" led to America's entrance into the war with Japan and ultimately against Germany.
